Only a band that truly understands the concept of unity could create a track that is pleasing to the ear while having a chorus – that may or may not include every band member half singing, half shouting into one microphone. This track is “San Francisco,” the opening song on The Mowgli’s debut EP. The Mowgli’s, an eight-piece band from Southern California, want nothing more than to preach love and unity to the world through their music. The new EP, Love’s Not Dead, embodies this mission not only in its title, but also in its upbeat lyrics and resounding harmonies. Call it sappy, but these guys may be onto something.
